What's a good price for a 2010?

paid 6350 for a white model @ rock river powersports about a month ago
+ 200 for power tuner it was a cash deal

Ok I don't want to start a new thread for this. I'm seeing guys getting the 2010 for 7K OTD. My dealer quoted me $7400 OTD for the 2011 is this a good price? I'm not getting anything extra

I bet you could talk him down on that one, that is pretty close to what I have been seeing for the 2011, the 2010 on the other hand you can get closer to 6200 OTD. 7k otd on the 10 is too much but might be decent for the 11. Either way the bike is the same, does the 11 have things that are worth the cost difference? Originally i was holding out for a good deal on the 11, but that fell through and when i found out that the changes were so minor I got the 10 instead for a decent price.

yeah got my 10 for 6200 otd. the 10 and 11 are pretty near identical.

There was a dealer on Ebay from Minnesota selling them for $6300 OTD. That didn't include
shipping though.

California seems to be around $8,300 for a 2011 and $7,100 for the 2010 OTD (including CA tax)

In this case $7400 would be a good deal huh? My dealer said there cost is $7300 and they would just charge me $100 over what they pay and they will only be getting one. Remember $7400 is OTD not else.

All bikes are in that range. Come spring they will have rebates

I am considering a new yz and concrened also about range? I race enduros and also ride big all day loops.......IMS tank seems like a crapp expensive option? Any thoughts?

there are a few other options, although the IMS tank is the best one, but I agree with you that it is over priced. You can get a front mounted tank on your number plate, but then you can't have a headlight, tank is somewhere around 60 bucks. You can carry gas in a back pack, you can bungie cord an old antifreeze bottle with gas in it on your number plate, but if you are racing you don't want to take time to fill up. The acerbis tank drains first thankfully.

I personally want the IMS tank and a headlight, so I might just have to be patient before I get them.

i just got a 10' from a local dealer in western co for 6200 otd. couldn't see paying almost 8 for the small changes made...

$5843 OTD almost exactly one month ago. I also gave them around $900 for the GYTR tuner and a Rekluse Core EXP clutch. Put it all on Yamaha's 0% financing (as long as it is paid off in 6 months). They only had 2 blue models left at this price.

We all want the same thing, to ride as cheap as possible. Of course the dealers have to stay in Business. The way to do this is to develope a good relationship with the owner of the dealership. Once he knows that you ride/race allot which means buying a new bike every couple of year plus lots of parts they will usually sell you a bike for a couple hundred over cost and give you a set 20% discount on parts. Thats a good deal for everyone.
