I´m a little worried about how many hours u can ride with a 250F piston ? Look at the CRF 450 manual...15 hours. What about the CRF 250 then ? ? ? :D :)

that's b.s. the maint. schedule for a cr500 is to r and r the top end 3 races or 7.5 hours who the hell dose that so unless you are a top 20 pro i would not do that i have a crf with over 70 hrs on the stock top end and still has the same psi os it did at 10 unless you are a pro do a leak down test and replace when needed

Yep, and most who have replaced them at 100 hours have checked the specs and the piston is still within spec. I wouldn't sweat it at all.

Is it possible that the 15 hr. mark is just how long it takes to break it in? :)

Your right dont worry my 02 crf has over 200 hrs and i am just now doing a top end,and only because i need new valves.the piston is like new,i was not going to change it but dont want to take any chances.this will be it till the bike dies and that will be a long time because Its A HONDA.

I don't think so....Break-in time is only about 1 Gas tank.
All bikes and Models say to do a Top-End job way too early.
Nice bike you got there Lunatic695!! :) :D :D

The pic of the one on the side isn't mine, if that's what you were looking at. That's a pic off BBR. :)
