yz 450 shock the same as a yz 250f

hey guys just wondering if a 2006 yz 450 shock is the same as a 2006 yz 250f shock. i no the spring rates arent the same but just wondering if the lenght of the shock is the same ect..

Not entirely certain, but I believe it's the same externally. The damping will be different as well as the spring rates.

My bet is they will swap right over ... I am running a 07 YZ250F shock on my 05 yz125 - yes it is longer by a few mm's, but no issues they pre-load will not fix.

well i talk to a suspension guy yesterday and they said the 06 450 and 250f shock is the same lenght. only thing that isent the same is the spring rate and valving
