I've got a 2moto on a Fuel Injected Kawi..If I were to sell it, would anyone be interested in it?

I'd be looking for $2800 for it.

It's a 2009, KX450F.. But that's not what I'd be selling.  I'd be selling just the 2moto kit.

I'm located in the lower mainland.

I saw one used at the snowmobile show today - I seem to recall he was asking about $3200 for it. Previously had it on a KTM.

I looked at both the 2Moto and Timbersled units today (also glanced at the Explorer) - that's why I went to the show, I am not a sledhead.

Anyway, both are good units (Explorer is not), and you can tell they come from different heritages. The 2Moto comes from the bike world and the Timbersled comes from the sled world.

For practical reasons I am going to get the Timbersled - the 2Moto kit won't work on my Husaberg and I don't want to buy another bike just to have a snow bike. There are other reasons why I think I will prefer the TImbersled, but I can see people going with the 2Moto too - especially if they wanted something more agile than the TImbersled.

CodeMonkey, how far south of the border are you?  Once you get one, we have a small but tight network of guys with kits who you can ride with.

I hear ya on the bike thing, I've got a 390 berg that I'd like to be able to use, but at the time the KX was what was available that would fit the kit.  If I could free up a bike, I would too.

I don't think the 390 is the ideal bike to drive the kit, but I can do with less than ideal.  I rode a few 250F's with 2moto kits on them, and it's not actually that bad.  One kid actually had his 250F out climb any of the 450's there that day..But I felt bad for the bike, he really beat the crap out of it.

Do you have a subframe tank or some form of extra fuel carrying ability?  You'll want it for sure.. Fuel range on a snow bike is a huge issue.

Did you have any problem getting a Timbersled?  I heard they are sold out of the first run already.  Kinda surprising if they are.

I am about 25 miles north of Seattle. This winter looks like it is going to be a good year for snowbikes.

I just now got the subframe tank and a low fuel light. Between that and an extra jug on the sled kit I should be okay, but if not then I can get the Aqualine tanks too. I anticipated the fuel range issue - I don't think it will be a problem.

I haven't ordered a sled kit yet - I want to get a truck first. I can't haul a trailer with my car and it sucks in the snow anyway. I have been shopping for a particular truck ('94 to '98 Dodge diesel 4x4 with std cab, long bed - can be flat bed, manual trans.) but I am having a hell of a time finding one within a reasonable driving distance to look at.

Update, I've decided that I'm going to stick with my 2moto this winter and base next years kit on actual riding experience on the Timbersled.

We are a very new company and we dont have a website up as we are still working on some final prototyping and then patenting before we can show videos and photos of it.

I will say that we have been working on it for over 5 years now and that it is a crossover style kit aimed at people who want to jump, go through powder, rough trails, jump, have alot of fun and jump.

We also have about twice as much suspension travel as the timber sled and a few more inches then the 2moto.

Lastly I can tell you with out mount design it should mount to most kits for less than $300.

Price range will be between $4000 to $5000 depending!

We will start building our final prototypes at the beginning of the new year if all goes well which it looks like it will. Then within a month or two we should have pictures of what the final product will look like and more details in general.

Hey motoxrider121 where in Idaho are you located? I was wondering about your manufacturing. 4-5k sounds a little steep unless you're basing that on cost of production. I set up all the manufacturing for a new aluminum product last year in China and was able to reduce cost of production by over 70% Let me know if you would be interested in exploring options.

4-5K isn't that bad after you see what all you are getting and the great quality of parts and service we will be providing.

No go on the China thing. We are an American company and will only be using American, Canadian, and European parts. The economy is the way it is because of china manufacturers.

Plus quality is one of our biggest concerns and we want to be top notch.

Thanks for the offer but no thanks!

Thats great. Dont want to rib you to bad.And I certainly do wish you well. but there comes a time to put up or ?? Claiming patent issues only goes so far. Im surprised you haven't had the owners of at least one of those sites come down on you. They like their advertising $$s

Not sure exactly what you mean but I am not showing a soul my design until I know my work over the last five years is protected, also have to finish building it.

As far as the sites I assume you mean forums and I think they like to get ad $$ from products that are out. I am not even sending people to a website yet. As for Snowest I think it is free to post product information as long as it is not spam.
