I am completely with you there. The standard pipes, as you gave the prime example, are ridiculously loud at full throttle. No doubt your pipes pass the new testing requirements. I would like your opinion though on the new testing standards, as there are so many varying factors that affect results, from temperature, humidity levels to overcast skies, and echoing off surrounding structures. Do you see the new testing being successful? It seems a very GREY area of any motorsport.
the 2 meter max test is exactly how these bikes should have been checked from day one , it removes all the variables involved and lets you see what the bike is going to sound like when its on the track with the throttle pinned , the varying factors are not gonig to make a quiet bike loud or a loud bike quiet , the 20" test is a complete waste of time unless you want to inforce a db limit in the pits where bikes are idleing around
