Does anyone know the best way to remove the slide from a carburetor when it is stuck? I've tried many cleaners and a little heat with a torch and it will not move.

are you sure it's the slide and not the needle?
if not, try popping the needle clip loose if you can, ie, loosen the idle screw all the way out so it might let the slide drop down a touch to allow you to pull the, cable, lock plate, and needle clip out, then see if it moves. Chances are it won't and it's the slide but it's possible.

Yeah, i've tried taking everything apart. The sled sat for a couple years I was told so i'm sure everything is stuck. Runs good, just can't ride. Thank you for the info though. Any other ideas please let me know.

i would get on the manufactures website and look for a carb diagram for your sled and take the whole thing apart, all the way down, clean everything and see if that helps, how ever (xc700116) has a great point, if his idea doesnt work sounds like the slide is stuck..... for good lol

I have had good luck soaking in Kroil for a day or so. Just squirt it now and then to keep it wet. Time heals all!
