Just put some new graphics and Dirt Digits numberplate backgounds on the old dog. (2001 YZ426) It looks pretty good. Here are a few pics, and one from how it used to look. I'd like your opinion on whether or not to put the airbox stickers on, as I could go either way. The airbox is a carbon fiber piece installed by the previous owner, and does look kind of cool.

That was my second choice. :smirk: Just kidding.

Odd, the pics are on Facebook, and they looked great when I put them up. Now, they look grainy and kind of funny.

Yep, an old 426.

Thanks for all the input, I like the airbox better without the sticker also, and so does the wife. :smirk:

I appreciate the opinions.

Ha ha, it looks alot better in pics than it does in person. It definitely shows its age. This is the best it will look for some time, since I just got done with the graphics and haven't ridden it since I put them on. I'm hoping to get out to Milestone MX park in the next week or two to scratch them up.

I'm super pleased with how the graphics came out, especially the number plate backgrounds. I did some research on here, and found a great post by on here by Dirt Digits, which helped alot. (http://www.thumperta...761#post7934761) I was worried about the exhaust side numberplate, as everyone says that one is a pain.

They didn't come put perfect, but damned close. I didn't have a problem with bubbles or creases, but it just seems like no matter how hard I tried to line them up right, when I got from one end to the other, one side was great and the other was a little bit off.

But, I'll likely be the only one who will notice. :smirk:

You bike looks really good. I like your choice in graphics. The plate sticker looks really good too.

There are alot of graphics made that I dont like however your 426 looks really clean with them

Thank you. I also didn't like most of the kits that are out there, and as old as these bikes are, the pickins get pretty slim!

I'll get a newer one eventually, but will likely keep this one so that I don't have to deal with the green sticker crap out here in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Kalifornia.

Your bike looks great, and I sorta like the airbox sticker. Looks like I will have to do a graphics upgrade on mine.

Looks really good !

What offsets it is the small new look rear number plates.
Yes keep the black airbox. If anyone has a line on a DSP carbon
fiber box I would love to have one...
Here is a link for some pretty nice retro graphics in almost
any color scheme :

To the OP : Please post up where you got the number plates.
I'll order a set pronto

Thanks !

So are you going to ride that thing or just clean it a pose for pictures with it? The money spent graphics would pay the gate fee at the track.

Joking aside, it looks fine as it is. Just needs dirt!
