There havent been any before. The 04' will be honda's first 250 fourstroke. Yamaha and KTM are the only other 2 with 250f's and the KTM is just a offroad version that isnt really competitive with the Yamaha. Right now only Yamaha has the really competitive 250f out.

Actually, this is the first MX water cooled 250 4-stroke.

See the XR250R (air cooled, cross country) for pre-2004.

THE CRF230F is the XR200 replacement.
Still air cooled.

CRFxxxR - MX
CRFxxxX - Cross country
CRFxxxF - Family trailbike
