Where is your dealership? I can't wait. I'm currently riding a 94 cr 125, and I'm chomping at the bit.

I talked to a salesman at Concord Honda, NH last week. He races MX, CRF450, in the vet and 250 classes.

I asked him for the NO SH*T release date on the 250. He told me November, via U.S. Honda.

For what it's worth!

all the hype and delay is only done to bring up the price! When actually, they know that the sohc motor ain't as fast as it needs to be, to make the moto-mags happy! All ya'll sitting at home and waiting for one, my guess, well into next season!!! Happy waiting, boys, I'm going riding hahahahahahaha!!! Bring on that red P.O.S!!!

Well if they are coming out this year, shouldn't the design be finalized and then hardware be on the production line already. To have enough bikes to distribute to dealers in the USA and around the world I don't think they can wait until October to finish the design and then crank up the production line and be ready to deliver in December. I wonder how long before delivery most manufacturers actually start their new model bikes down the line. 6 months in advance, shorter? Does anyone know? I would think Honda should have all the specifications finalized, but they are not releasing them for some reason. Maybe it is their idea of strategy to keep people guessing, or maybe it is because the bike is not that impressive so they are hiding it. Maybe bike manufacturers can't accurately weigh their bikes so getting a bogus dry weight is meaningless anyway. But you would think they would at least say whether it is a 5 speed or a 6 speed.

hanger92, first of all Honda bulids good bikes dumbs sh*t. the YZF450 sucks compared to the CRF, they even had to shave off a gear to get it as light. Second, Honda Builds things good with quality unlike Yamaha. They take there time on purpose that is why they have won more championships than Yamaha ever will and can. :)

Hi!! I'm new!! I'm from Spain and a long time ago I raced Spanish National Championship!!

And that's my question. Does anybody know if the CRF 250 X will be sold in Europe?? Or this is only a USA model?? :)

Yeah, Honda does build good bikes but they NEVER get it right the first model year!
Hmmmmm, let's see, I remember the:
'85 CR500-hard to start
'92 CR250-nervous/weak frame
'96 XR400-poor suspension/jetting
'97 CR250-the alum frame nightmare
'02 CRF450-cornering and airbox
'04 CRF250-?????????????
I'd wait for the '05 if I were getting one.
Honda does always get it right eventually.

hey lets all face it, the yamaha is gonna whoop the hondas ass! yamaha has had 3 years to perfect their model, and this is hondas first year. maybe after a couple years i would worry about the honda being half as good as yz but until then you honda guys have nothing, you don't have your bike yet so you can't say its better than the yz250f. until i get an unbiased reveiw of the honda i won't change my mind.

If you count out ANYTHING that Honda is going to put out after going to School on the Yamaha, I would recommend you rethink....

you might want some special seasonings to go with your words, make em taste just a bit better going down.

Lets see, the CRF450 it's first year kicked the [@#$%&!] out of any four stroke Yamaha ever produced.

IT'S FIRST YEAR.

Man i thought my last post was gonna be a while ago but holy crap yur all morons. Your worse than some of the kids my sis had to baby sit for. no my bike is better. no mine. no mine is.

Call me crazy but Honda didn't start winning till they bought RC. But still there winning and winning is winning. I bet if RC through a leg over a blue bike he'd be thrashen the crap out of Honda. And I know for sure they K-Dubis the same way. The YZ250F is what got K-Dub into the whole 4 stroke world.

Anyways can't we all just be friends.

Thats the stupidist thing i'v read for awhile. Yamaha took out a gear because they are building an MX bike where 5th wasnt used and they had the HP to space the gearing some. The YZ 125 did the same thing a couple years ago because it had the power to work with 5- then honda did it and everyone was mad because it didnt have the power for wider gearing. Going back- if i remember right the YZF is a couple pounds lighter than the CRF (2 gears dont weigh that much). The CRF first year had/has quite a few bugs- heres some i'v heard people mention- bad valves, poor air filter sealing, poor air filter access, smokes, uses oil, bad handling (first year), headers splitting, cases cracking at drain plug, no o-ring chain option, hard starting, stalling, clutch has soft feel, thats all i got off the top of my head. I'v ridden some CRF's and they are nice but far from perfect. People that have ridden both have said they prefer YZ for moto-only if they are an experienced rider.

no riders that are exp. will not all say that the yzf is better for mx than the crf if i wanted the hit that the yzf has i would get a 2 strk and most of the BUGS you listed are just b. s.
