Just got my NEW 3.6 Clarke tank for my 2009 WR450 !

Tank came with solid gasket for petcock and I bought new 05 type OEM petcock that has the factory fitted gasket.

Do I install petcock with both of these gaskets...?

Looks like petcock takes metric bolts....

Also, any other tricks to make tank install easier?

No instructions from Clarke other than clean out leftover manufacturing crud!

Thanks!!!

e z install , i love my 3.6 tank. 1st ride was 110 miles with almost a gallon left. oh come to think of it i had to adjust the lower shroud bolt mount by bending the tab coming off of radiator on one side. no big deal

Thanks for the tips!

Any issue installing rad guards [thinking of Mohards or BPD] with this tank set up?

I've had mine on and off a couple of times. Sometimes it is easier to install than others. Basically, I have learned to try to get both the top and bottom bolt started before I tighten either one down. Also, when I pull it off I leave the shrouds attached to the tank and remove them from the radiator. Just seems easier to me to line up the shroud/radiator holes than it is to line up the shroud/tank holes.

Overall I am happy with the Clarke tank.

I need to go ride.

Good idea!

Pretty easy install.

I had to drill the tank a bit for better bolt alignment --no big deal.

And get longer bolt for front cuz of my Scott's

And get new fuel line and clamps.

Pre 07 petcock is the trick setup for sure!

O/w a snap!

I bought the 06 WR petcock and a new hose so it would be straight.
