May BE it's time we think out of the box
Let's face it things aren't exactly rockin here in boom town USA
lately, money is tight, and we all have things we want for our bikes.
But IMO we have the best dr650 site thanks to THUMPER TALK for hosting the party and all the people who take there time to share there info.  every one of us has played a important part in making things easier for us all who love the mighty dr650
so why don't we have a on line swap meet for the dr650 show shots of what you have, tell what you are looking for, what you will swap for, and so on ,we all have spare parts from the many mods and what you think some might not want they just might be looking for, lets see what we can come up with tougher and save each other a few bucks.  in the words of Mick Jagger  (you cant always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need. any thoughts?

sounds good to me i have box of stock stuff i have taking off the dr im sure someone up there can use it, i'd love to get little something  for it b4 i start skool again next yr..

have that already.. i have alot of the stock stuff that i took off in place  of the aftermarkit stuff  stock muffer, tank, speedo, bars, springs boots yellow, morrors, tail light, tag mount. turn light but w/ short wire (used plug for new small light but can wire old lights to old plug) chain and sprokits, cant think of what eles ill have to look in my box

Hey CDS 1.  Wanna trade a BST 40 for the speedo?

No, seriously now, can you reprogram the milage on the vapor to what your bike is?  Are you selling all the connections with it, the speed sensor, mounting brackets, ect, ect.  Do you have an eliminator for the stock speedo drive?

My DR just chewed through the speedo cable, so why go stock when you can mod it?????

And for contribution, I have a stock muffler and carb (with Dynajet kit and extra pilot/main jets) that can go to a new owner.

Also, anyone that is looking at getting rid of black fenders, I am interested.

I got most of the things from an 09 we tend to take off.

stock carb
Stock exhaust
misc hoses from thecarb change
Stock handles/blinker mounts (Rear)


I found a new home for the mirrors and the seat(s)
Depending on how my GSXR can works, there may be an FMF Q4 for sale also. I'm still waiting for the little metallic gasket that goes inside the head pipe to connect the GSXR. I killed mine pulling it out to attach the FMF to the OE header.

Anyone have one intact?  I've been waiting for almost three weeks to get one from Cheapcycle Parts

please let me know on the fmf q4 i would like a shot at  buying .....please send me a pm when your ready......................

I will check to make sure I have it tonight and post a picture.  It was in new condition when I removed it.  About 24 miles old.

fyi i have  front and rear stock turns but the wires re cut i had to use them for my new smaller turns just puting it out there if anyone wants them cheap they will have to re wire it or use old wire if replaceing them.. fyi i have alot stock stuff so anyone lookin for something ill try keep eye out but feel free to pm me if theres something u lookin for i even have stock battery box up for grabs.. and 6 mo old battery still good( i got a 4cell lipolife battery now...

Ahem, i have a whole front wheel including a nice GP-1 and a vapor for say, i don't know, maybe a non-california gas tank in very nice shape?

how much on the vapor? is it all together? brkts and all wiring?
