09 yz450 carb on yz400f ?

Hi I have read that a newer 450 carb is much better than the 400 carb is this true? what makes it better? and will it be a direct bolt up? Thanks Roger

Yes it is true. It's a more advanced, sophisticated design.

Except for the fact that you need to stretch the air boot a little bit to reach it, it bolts right in place. You will need to remove the OEM hot start and block off the fittings, and you'll need the complete hot start plunger, cable etc., from the newer bike, but otherwise, there's nothing to it.
