My dealer wouldnt let me pre order one when they were supposed to come out in june. I guess they had the right idea. Now that the release date is confirmed, does anyone have one pre ordered?

when is it going to be avalable? in august? its june and there still not here???????

never mind i just went to the honda site. guess it wont be here for another 4-5 months my frend could not order one ether in the past! just called him and he told me he was goin to pre-order one next week. i cant wait to test ride the 250 i have been waiting since they started speculating about it! guess i will have to wait some more!

Thats weird that a honda dealer wouldn't take a deposit.
Most of the dealers in L.A. have lists with lots guys on it. Even if it isn't coming out til November.

It's kind of pathetic that Honda announced this bike last year and Kawasuki will beat them to the market.
Perhaps the would be 2003 models had a flaw in the design?
I'm looking forward to:
a) The 250X model coming out.
The shoot out between the YZ and KX/RMZ models.
c) The shoot out including the CRF.
If KTM beats Honda to the market with their new 250 DOHC design, how should I say it,
"You ga a lot of essplainning to do."
Perhaps the would be 2003 models had a flaw in the design?
I'm looking forward to:
a) The 250X model coming out.
The shoot out between the YZ and KX/RMZ models.c) The shoot out including the CRF.

Exactly. I heard that Honda knew that the release date for the crf250 was going to have to be November, but they used the June/July release to "keep interests up". Isnt that false marketing or fraud or something?

You mention DOHC. I thought the YZF and the RMZ/KXF have dual overhead cams as well? From what others were posting here, I thought Honda was going with some type of uni-cam arrangement.

I was referring to the new KTM DOHC vs the existing KTM single cam.
The Honda will be Unicam like the 450.
