has anyone try this mod and how sucessful have they been? And are there any ptifulls to this type of mod

Remember when the 400 first came out. They made a 420 kit. this was somewhat successful but made the bike unreliable. Read some of the test articles from late 99 on the 426. I seem to remember the same thing happening

Got some good advice on past posts on this subject. If you have a '99 you will be O.K. with either 420 or 450 due to material thickness between cylinder and water jacket. On '98 there is no margin as they have different cylinders. Good luck!
