kill switch question?

I just installed a Tusk enduro kit and disabled my kill switch. I thought the new on off switch would kill my bike but it only controls the lights. I have been killing my bike with the computer button. Is this a bad way to kill the engine. Any info is appreciated.

No, it wont harm anything. That is one of the things team Yamaha does to eliminate unnecessary things and weight on their race WR's.
