2010 YZ450f unbreakable levers

Looking for a set on unbreakable levers (Clutch and Brake) for my new fathers day present (2010 YZ450f!).

I have the ASV's on my 2007 YZ250f, which I like. I am open to trying another brand (Sunline, Renthall, etc) but am having a hard time finding levers specified as 2010.

Do the 2009 levers fit the 2010?

Does anyone have opinions on other brands?

Not trying to be a jerk in any way, but why would they be any different? As far as I know they have nothing to do with the bike but the bar. So you should be able to go with whatever you want. Or when you say lever do you mean just the lever and not the whole assembly ?

After I posted this, I actually found a chart (http://www.mountainpeaksmotorsports.com/pdf/ASV_Holiday_Pro_Pack.pdf) that includes the 2010. The other charts I found only had 08-09. If you look, 2001-2007 have a different part number than the 08-10 so I was not sure if they changed something between 09 and 10 that would require another different number.

So, I found the answer to my question.

I've never liked ASV levers. They are too bulky and block like for me. I liked the sunline levers feel,but not the price:busted:

i no what your going thew tho its taken me since april to get a set i got the clutch leaver now im just on back order for the brake im picky tho and there blue witch seems to be the only color they dont have

as far as the difference i dont think there is any difference

If I remember for the 2010 with ASV levers you need to either cut the cable or mod the barrel adjuster.

I know ARC levers fit perfectly.

Which ARC levers are the ones that you know fit? Assuming just ARC (first link) and not Moose but want to make sure ?

The Sunline levers are the way to go, and Im not sure whos complaining about the price, because they are a heck of alot cheaper than the ASVs. I took my clutch lever off my 06 and put it on my 10. Not sure about the brake, probably wont work though.

The ASVs are too bulky to me, where as the Sunlines keep that stock slim feeling. And if you get the AV-1s, which I think is what I'm gonna do for the brake, then you can fall every whichaway and not worry about them snapping...plus the 5 year warranty doesn't hurt either

Want to hear my cheap unbreakable lever secret ?

Don't crank the piss out of the stock perch pinch bolts, just run the bolts "snug" and let the perch assembly pivot under a crash. This may not work 100% of the time, but it definately minimises your levers bending.

My ASV's that was on 06 fit fine on my 2010, perch and all.

I have just the ARC levers.The Moose ones would work as well.There the same basic lever setup just with some bushing material changed to make them slightly cheaper.The ARC RC8 perch and AXIS perch both work on the 2010 as I have 1 of each.

Yea I just dont understand why they would change something that is almost standard on every bike, but I never put it past em ?.

I have AVS and Sunline , I like the Sunline better.

I've owned ASV, ARC, and Sunline levers.

For me, ASVs have never felt quite right. Too big/bullky. I also had some pretty bad fitment issues with my CRF. I used ASV levers from 2004-2009 and have never bent/broken one.

The ARC ergos/fit were much better, but they were not as well built imo. I actually bent a few on low-speed tip overs.

I'm running the sunlines now. IMO these are the best of the bunch. Fit/ergos are as good as it gets, and so far so good on reliability. I bought them for 60 bucks a side here:

What that doesn't do is prevent the end of the lever from curling in on SLSTO's (stupid low speed tip-overs). ASV style levers avoid that.
