Swingarm thickness under chain slider

Does anybody know what the thickness of the swingarm is directly beneath the chain slider? This is on a 2001 426F. I've got what I would call normal wear and will be attaching some stainless shim stock with silicone shortly to stop any further damage, but was concerned about how much wall thickness I've worn through already.

Has anybody done a weld overlay on this area of the swingarm? If mine is worn down enough to warrant welding, I don't want to put any silicone on the area so I won't have to fool with cleaning it off before welding. I'd be better off to pull the swingarm and weld it now, then do the grayracer slider mod.
