I am getting a small back fire (more of a pop) and a little throttle bog when I apply a lot of gas from low or iddle rpms..

Is the fuel mix to rich or too lean? I get them confused, or is the problem something else?

Could be lean, I am running a 165 main, 48 pilot and 2 turns on the screw at 1800' in Pa.. Works great for me. At sea level, the 168 main may be the way to go.
