I had a nice 5 page thread going before the system change erased my posts and profile....

I'm a newbie again according to the new system. :thumbsup:

So here we go again! Post pics and details please!

Heres mine:

2004 CRF250R roller chassis before:

After (Homemade CR500AFC!):

I used the motor out of my 1997.

It has AVS levers, 250X OEM larger tank,
250X 18" rear wheel and thats it for now.

My 2002 CRF450R framed 2001 CR500 (old picture). I'm in the process of rebuilding it from the ground up and it will have an Elsinore kit with green anodized wheels when done:

I also have an '87 CR500R that I'm trying to restore - have a stuck swingarm shaft. This is an old picture from the Amateur 1989 GNCC race in the Astrodome where I got a 4th place - had no business being on a SX track.

Keep in mind the first two pictures were taken a while back and neither still look that clean.

NICE 500's. I have an 02 CR250 I was thinking of dropping a CR500 (1997) motor into. How much cutting and welding or mods to the frame must be done?

Check out this site, lots of info. From what I understand the 250's require the least amount of mods.

My 04' Gen 3- 97' CR500 Home brew converion- Just finished it up last week.

Engine is stock, except the pipe- Will be testing a 250 ignition soon- and a Rekulse Core is on the wish list!

Yes I did get the shift drum bearing installed before case mating, :thumbsup:

I didn't polish anything, that's what it looked like upon splitting.
