Why are there more markings on the brake side than the sprocket side?

If you look, you'll figure it out. There's a raised lip on the front edge of the left side block to keep the axle from turning. When counting marks for wheel alignment, count from the back.

I did order some parts from Ride Enginering and I had no idea how good there customer service is.In this marketplace today it is a nice to know that there are companies out there like ride Enginering.i highly recomend them !!!!!!

counting from the back is correct Yamaha puts the lip oposite from Honda or Suzuki.

Yeah! I picked up those axel blocks there and a couple of GYTR air filters for like fifty two bucks.

I'm still looking for a couple of magnetic drain plugs for it.

You are going to be disappointed with your Ride Engineering axle blocks. I bought a set a few weeks ago. You will find that the axle nut side will have to be milled. Any decent machine shop can do the work. I had them make it .039 thicker than the stock one. I will attach a picture of the final product. When you get them compare the RE blocks (the axle nut side) to the stock ones. The need for milling will become apparent. Make sure you have them champher (sp) the inside horizontal edges. If you look closely at the picture you can see what I'm talking about.

Sorry for the complicated post. RE would make it a lot simpler if they would actually make a new part number for the 2010 bike....

GYTR and Zip-Ty both have magnetic drain plugs for the crankcase. The Zip-Ty one is just a hair shorter than the stock drain plug. The Works Connection axle blocks fit perfectly on the '10.

If you hadnt all ready ordered yours from that place I would just get the blocks from surdyke yamaha cause I know those will work.

Hopefully it will work out for you. I ordered the 2010 part number and what I got didn't fit right.

Most places may not know that the axel on the 2010 is quiet bigger in circumfrence than the earlier models. I fount this out hopeing to use my rear wheel off my 06 as a stand by with a mud tire on if it was a muddy race.

Just give Zip-Ty a call, they have one that works. I'm pretty sure that there is a GYTR one for the ten, I just always use Zip-Ty, I even got a magnetic drain plug for my truck from them.

Is that nut on far enough? It looks like it's hanging on the last thread. I had my Hammerhead block milled on the right side like he guy above. Compare the thickness to the stock block.
