my stock oo 426 seems lean and pings in the midrange with engine cold or temps below 70. has anybody tried raising the needle, all other jetting areas seem ok. I have had no plug fouling, unless I leave the damn rubber exhaust plug in and try to start it.

Did you happen to replace the pilot jet with 45 or 48 ! I was told that the bikes were shipped into the country with lean pilot jets (42)s . So if yours is a 42 try putiing a 45 for summer riding and 48-50 for winter riding!
