First of all what will it do to my bike to move to an either larger or smaller back sprocket on my wr 426 with yz timing and the grey wire mod? Secondly, there have been many debates over the compositional makeup of the sprockets as well as what name brand, and then what about chains. Thanks.

Check out Ironman sprockets. Lighter than stock and last a very long time. Heat treated tool steel. Any top O-ring chain will do.
dont forget to get both sprockets with a new chain. I have nearly 1700 miles on my set and they are no where near showing signs of wear.
