Dirt and Break away in swingarm---Safe to wash out??

While trying to take apart some linkage the bolts the one in the center of the swingarm would not budge so i sprayed it with break away. It came loose finally, but it stuck to all the dirt in there, so now i have grime inside my swingarm. Has anybody ever washed out the inside of the arm before? I doubt it will cause problems as long as i let it dry but i thought id get a second opinion. Thanks.

Flush 'er out with a parts washer. There's drain holes in the bottom.
