Does anyone know if earlier yz/wr 400 header pipes will fit my 01 yz426? I have a factory silencer pipe. I just bought the bike and it seems to have some junk aftermarket header on it. I first noticed because there is no heat shield and quickly realized that it rubs the radiator. It also is dangerously close to a coolant hose. Thanks

Will fit, but you will have to loosen or remove it to get to the oil filter. On the 426, Yamaha revised the bends to clear the oil filter cover...

Uh, thats a negative ghost rider. It wasn't until 03 that the header would clear the oil filter.

Double negative. The early '00 models had the same header as the 400, but that was revised at the end of that model year. The last '00's and onward had headers clear of the filter.
