I have a local dealer who is selling his remaining 450 YZ's for 4899.00 I will be trading a 2005 CR85 Honda in since my son has outgrown it.

I would like to know what you guys think of the price and how well the bike will work for woods duty. My son and I ride cross country style woods stuff. Like the Hatfield/MCoy trails, TNT, Carolina adventure world and Durhamtown in Ga. Neither of us are hard core racers but we like MX bikes converted to woods duty since we ride pretty agressively.

I know the Yamahas are very reliable so I'n confident it will be a great bike. But is the price good? If so, what would you do to make it woods friendly.

Thanks for your input,

Anybody who still has an 05 on the floor is not interested in dealing and giving a good price. I bought a new 04 for 5K in 04 and a new 07 for 5400 in 07. That 05 is 5 years and 3 generations old. I think if you shopped around you could find a leftover 08 or 09 for around the same or a couple hundred more.

agreed...4899.00 is too much for an '05, I wouldn't pay that for an '07...
