yz426 spark plug

Hey fellow motor heads... does anyone know what the proper gaping is for a new spark plug that im putting in my yz426 (2004)?

Which is it, an '04, or a 426? Can't be both.

(The gap is .024" either way)

Factory manual for my 02 shows range of .028 to .031 just did it today.

The Owner Service Manual calls for 6mm (0.024") on page 2-17. Where do you see the specs you cited?

0.024” on 2-17 is a minimum gap for the ignition coil, Spark Plug gap as per shop manual on page 2-2 states 0.7-0.8 mm (0.028 ~0.031 in) - only missed this convo by nearly 14 years.
