Need to stay out of the dirt for a while.Im selling my road bike and the WR looks so sad just sitting.
What is the tallest road gears that the 450 could practically pull? I stuffed a 16t c/s on at one point with a 50t rear and it seemed like I could go higher
I have a Yosh pipe and YZ cam. No wheelies or holeshots. Just dont want to scream the crap out of a bike that has no business being on the road

Guess it depends on how much the rider weighs and how hilly the roads are.

+1, I have no problem using 16/45 on my WR450F w/free mods, but I weigh less than 150 lb.

I'm 185, and currently have 15/43 on my bike. No issues at all, roll on wheelies kinda suffer though.:ride:

I have 16-45 gearing and the motor will rev out no problem. I have a 43 tooth rear sprocket to try next year. :ride:

We got an 02 426 WR converted to a dual sport. it has 14/51 sproket set-up on it now. That's how it was when we got it. They're wayyy too short for the road. The bike is screamin at 70. I don't ride the road much on it anymore as I got a street bike now. What are better road gears for it? thanks
