valve check

Is it possible to check valve clearance with the head off the bike? Thanks

I would think so if everything it torqued down correctly. The cams might spin a little, so that might be an issue. Assuming you can keep them from moving, I don't really see why not.

Yes. That's what you do when you are building up a head to install.

Thanks. I wasnt sure if the timing chain needed to be attached, thought it might put some tension/deflection on the cams. I'll check before installation. Thanks again
