Called BBR and they are not going to make the cradle again. They would need at least 40 interested customers to make a new jig and start making them again.

Looks like welding some supports is the answer

Maybe a skidplate with added support might work until I have time to strip frame and add supports.:)

The cradles are coming .. just need to be patient.  I've done the drawings and was sorting out a couple of queries with the guy that is making the first prototype and it is looking good.

I'm crazy busy at the moment so can only do this when a get a moment to breathe which is not as often as I'd like just now. :)

They will be coming though just can't promise within the next few weeks.

Glad to hear from you, I don't know about everybody else, but I was starting to think something bad may have happened to you. I'm waiting patiently, mostly because I've got my hands full with a DR200 swap in our DR-Z.

The only bad thing that is hapening is that the family home I'm building is 2 years behind schedule and my son is 17 and may leave home before I finish it if I don't get it finsished VERY SOON!! :):banghead::banana: My wife reminds me of this fact 3 or 4 times every day  .. so I guess that is another bad thing.  Oh and I forget to mention that the house is over budget as well so we are broke and living on fresh air!  Luckily there is lots of fresh air in New Zealand so I guess life is not as bad as it could be

I know this is about a half year later after your last post Beamishnz but if you still have in mind to build those frame cradles for the DRZ125.  I will definantly buy one from you.  Are you still planning on making them? or Are they already for sale?
Thanks!

Hi Guys.  Sorry sorry sorry.  Not been back for a few months whilst going through rigmarole of getting a new job.  Been to VERy many interviews .. and getting a job is like a full time job!!  Anyhow looks like I have landed a job and so have come up for air.  I have a prototype made up but just not had the time to test it out.  Hopefully will have it on the bike and running over the next week or so then get into production.  I'll pm everyone who is interested as soon as it is ready and will probably distribute through Procycles for the USA.

Good day Beamish,

The cradle is the last item to complete our drz, so another to add to the list of interested parties.

Regards

Robo :smirk:

I just picked up another DRZ 125 for my youngest son and would be interested in a cradle if its going to happen.

I have a BBR cradle on my oldest sons 125L and its helped the bike take a lot of abuse.

Here's my home made cradle. It was pretty easy, a buddy of mine has a manual pipe bender...

In this one you can see where I had to relocate my chain roller to accommodate the KX100 rear shock...

Someday I'm going to tear the whole thing down and have the frame and some other goodies powder coated. For now I just run it like this.
