help with 1998 yz400f

hello Im new to the site I got a yz400 98

have replace the sparck plug and cange the gas

now it starts and it dies out dont know wath to do

get your carb looked at mine would cut out and bog alot

Did this bike sit for a while? You said you had to change the gas so that led me to believe it did. If so, it sounds like a clogged pilot circuit in the carb, it's very common. Need to clean it out and possibly replace the pilot jet if it wont clean out. Also need to check and clean the fuel screw and all the passages.
