Aussie WR450 Riders Please help this Japie

Recommended Posts

Howzit! I live in South Africa and own an o8 wr450f.

I need help please, your Aussie Models come out with a road worthy kit,

Im looking for the tailpeice part number that allows you to fit a reg plate..

The part number is not available in our parts bin database here in South Africa..

If someone can post where I can find the Aussie parts list it will be of major help too..

Thanks!:moon:

Hey hey,

I live in cape town, my wr is luckily on the road.

From what i understand, its almost nearly impossible to get a roadworthy for your bike as it is marked offroad only on the ENatis system.

As far as im concerned my bike is a european greybike more.

Furthermore, SA bikes never came with the grey wire in ecu.

Where are you from?

.

I don't know of an Aussie-specific parts list for the bike but I do know that these aren't hard to fit, I have one on my own '08 WR450F. You can usually find them on eBay.

I took my original tail-light assembly off the bike when it was new, along with the original guards and shrouds and replaced them with aftermarket stuff so I can put all the original stuff back on when I sell it.

(No I don't want to sell my original tail-light assembly!)

Hi

I have a 08wr450 motarded. Licensed and roadworthy late last year.

Think its the Honda's that are tough too license here because of enatis.

Made my own bracket with existing light. Very easy to do.

check out motardforum.co.za

post some of you pix! :moon:

the australian number plate holder is ugly and pretty bulky type of unit, gets ripped off way to quick cause it hangs down pretty low. look at the GYTR aftermarket version does the same thing buts looks neater doesn't hang down and i bet it is cheaper.
