They must be different. GYTR has different part numbers for the 09 and 10.

You can't always go by part number. If they change even the color, the P/N would be different. I plan on switching my aftermarket 09's to my 2010 today. I'll let you know.

Thanks! I am just coming back to the blue side! I rode YZ's in 03, 04, 05, then went to Kawi for 06, 07, 08, 09, and now I am back to Yamaha!

I agree with the color and part number change but go to my link and read the description for each part number. One says it fits the 2010 and the other fits the 2009.

I bought a set of Hammerhead blocks for an 09 to try on the 2010. The problem is that the block on the right side is too thick and the lock nut does not go on the axle far enough. I don't know if all the 09 axle blocks are like this or just the Hammerhead. It's too bad because with the numbers on them it would make tightening the chain much easier.

They don't have them for the 2010 so I asked if I could return them if they didn't fit. I was thinking of milling the right side down so it fits. I got a +15 shift lever too, I'm going out to try it right now.

My aftermarket axle blocks from my 09 fit the 2010. But Yamaha reduced the axle nut from 32 to 30mm, now I gotta buy a new wrench.:moon:

I'm using the Works Connection blocks from my 09. But I may order the ones show in this trend that are numbered.

Yes I have a 32mm wrench, but my 2010 has a 30mm rear axle nut. I'll price a 09 nut this week, it has to be cheaper that a new craftsmen.:moon:

I'm probably thinking of the 30mm nut on the '03, then. One of the two always works. :smirk:

Buy a Snap-On socket that size once, then whine to me about Craftsman.
