Changing from 19" to 18"

I am going to change from a 19" rear rim to an 18" will the spokes from a 09 WR450 fit? Did a search and no luck.

They may not. The '09 YZ uses a different hub than the WR does, and calls for a different spoke set than the '08 YZ.

But why use Yamaha spokes?

I was trying to keep it OEM but what spokes do you recomend?

Buy an Excel rim and use their spokes.

The only thing is with excel, that you need a special wrench, don't you?

If you mean the Spine-drive nipples that Excel usually uses, then a wrench is usually included.
