Has anyone tried to put a 2003-2005 YZ250F engine inside a 2006-2009 YZ250F frame? I have the 2003 YZ250F engine and a 2007 YZ250F frame just laying around and I want a project.

I'm not sure about bolting right up, but anything is possible with time, money, patience, and a welder

Bolts up with no issues.  However you need to get a new oil tank breather hose to go from the oil tank to the top of your valve cover.  Other than that, the engine is identical mounting wise.

I have a 2004 motor in a 2008 frame.

I currently have an 05 yz250f and i have researched everywhere to see if the 05 models engine will bolt into the 06 frame with no problem. I am just looking to upgrade the frame, the motor is solid though. Are there any parts i am going to have to buy or modify to fit in if it will fit??
