Hi All, I'm new here.

I'm searching for a gear list of the new WR450 and YZ450.
We're planning to use these type of engines in our roadrace bikes.
For the moment we use a YZ426 converted to 450.

Cheers, Filip

do you want the actual internal gear ratios?
Maybe someone could open their service manual and at least give you the wr ratios.
Then you could get the yz ones from that side.

Well, I'm fairly certain that the WR 450 has the same gears as the WR 426, but the primary ratio has changed:

426: 21/62
450: 22/62

Here are the YZ 450 ratios:

14/27
16/25
18/23
20/21

WR 426:

12/29
15/26
16/21
20/21 (yep, same as YZ 450)
21/25

Hope this is what you're looking for.

Thanks Hick, I was actualy looking for that too.
What do you become after 2000 posts?
Do you know if the valve covers on the 450 are interchangeable with the 400/426?
I am making flow bech valve openers for the 426 heads and would like to know if it would apply to the 450.

I guess I'm fixin' to find that out in another week or so. They may lock me in a chat room w/ EGO or something. :)

I saw you asking this question somewhere else, but I am totally ignorant of all things YZ 450. I sold my Yamahas and bought a CRF.

Good luck w/ your flow benching.
