Do any of you guys strongly recommend the use of a manual cam chain tensioner as opposed to the automatic stock one? Are there any issues with timing skipping with the auto tensioners? If the bike is ridden on the rev limiter alot, would it make sense to get a manual one to be on the safe side?

I have many years experience riding and working on and selling parts for Yamahas, and I have NEVER seen a stock tensioner fail....which is not to say one won't fail occasionally.
If I were you, I'd not worry about it.
