DMann; @ 160lbs I think the springs might be a little firm for you but it really depends a lot on the type of riding you do, the terrain you do it on and also your ability.

My suggestion is to look at re-valving the front forks, they are setup very harsh from factory, comp damping is too extreme in the initial stage.

The rest you should be able to adjust from stock with the current springs & clickers etc.

The steering of this bike is very sensitive to the rear ride height adjustment, I would set the rear spring according to the feel of the steering, it will under steer badly if the rear height is too low & you can also move the forks up in the tripple clamps if the rear gets too firm/high for you.
Get the steering & forks setup good before you decide if you need a different rear spring.

Thank you for the information and the insight with the rear to front relation. Since the present set up isn't bad I've decided to hold off until after the season. Then I'm sending the rear shock off to WER and changing the valvng along with the spring. As for the forks I've found that my 2004 GasGas internals will fit the BMW and I'm going to swap internals.

I've always liked my suspension on my GasGas and WER did the work. So I'm sticking with it but I will not know until spring the true end result.

Thanks again

Hey guys
I've destroyed my rear wheel bearing like some others on here and possibly the hub as well. I will check with the dealer on Tuesday to see if they will replace them under warranty. In the meantime I have a ktm wheel from a 2008 450exc that I read on here would fit but it doesn't seem to?
The sprocket and disc do not share the same bolt pattern and it deffinately doesn't fit with the ktm sprocket.
Any help is appreciated!
John

Oh by the way. My bike is an early 09 model.
I'm not sure if they changed in 2010.
Thanks
