did you paint the engine parts yourself? if so what color is that? did you use a clear coat or anything, did you sand the frame down before painting?

Paints used. http://www.vhtpaint....gineenamel.html

Engine covers - Gloss black.
- Either sand blast or rough up real good with sand paper.
- Clean with soapy water, dry then finish with a wipe over with
acetone/metho.
- Apply 3 coats 15 min apart.

Frame - Cast iron.
- Either sand blast or use paint stripper then rough up. A wire
buff on a drill comes in handy as well.
- Clean with soapy water, dry then finish with a wipe over with
acetone/metho.
- Under coat with Vht high temp under coat.
- Apply 3 coats 15 min apart.
- You can use a VHT clear coat for a glossier, stronger finish. I
didn't.
- Hung frame in the hot ozzie sun for a weak to harden. You
can use a large oven or not worry about it at all. Just
remember not to work on the frame until the week is up.

Sub frame -Use paint stripper and a pressure washer.
- Finish off with a soft wire buff.

Bare aluminium - Use alibrite, gets rid of mud and oil stains.
parts

Spokes - Clean up with steel wool. If wheel is apart, use wire buff.

Thinking about going with red with white numbers pre-printed back grounds. What do you think?
Should look like these I did quickly in paint.

Just rebuilt the shock with new seal head and bearings. Have to send it away to get recharged.:moon: Any one know of a good n2 set up that I can buy?
Beginning to be a pita sending shocks away all the time just for gas.

Is this the standard 01 426 exhaust or is it off a newer model?
