I just got me a Omega Neck brace and love the feel of it. Very nice design in my opinion.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good chest protector that will fit with the Omega neck brace. I know there is the Zero 7 protector but i cant find any store that sells them.

Any help would be much apreciated!

Thanks

I have the Omega but I wear the VelocityGear Juggernaut. As for how it all fits up, there is a great review by Ptrick on the Omega, the Juggernaut, and a standard chest protector over in the review section

I have the Omega also and have been wondering the same thing. I think I'm going with the Zero 7 myself. Here is a vid that may help.

The Fox Airframe fits well with the omega.

I'm looking at this brace to purchase. After looking at the video it appears to me that if there were to be an impact where your head moves backward, the brace would move back as well, pulling the strap up on the front and simply allowing your head to flex backward, where the competition would be more rigid. Any comments?

It would have to break your back where the feet sit for that to happen. I've have tested this product thoroughly twice. Now recovering from a broken collarbone and ribs, helmet destroyed. No neck pain!

Well i bought the Zero 7 chest protector and cant wear them both together. The only way i can get them to some what fit together is to put the brace on and then slide the zero 7 arounf it by taking apart the starp and then forcing it back together. but i cant get it off without using a screw driver to pry the clamp off the shoulder straps cause there so freakin hard to un clamp. idk what to do.... maybe ill return the neck brace and chest prtector....

And Europa, do u think the brace had anything to do with ur collar bone breaking cause the suspenision straps are soposed to help prevent that unlike other braces wear the sit right on it. Just wondering what ur opinion is.

I just tried it back on i think you are correct about the whole moving brace. When i throw my head back the brace itself moves back, pulling the straps up unless i have the straps to tight aroud my chest that i cant breath!

I cant figure this dag gum thing out!

I've worn mine on a few rides and can't seem to find a position where it's comfortable. The brace wants to slide back so that my neck rubs on the brace opening. I'm still playing with adjustments, but if I can't resolve this issue it's going back. Anyone else encounter this problem?

first off.. the leatt or alpinestar units should not touch ur collar bone at all.. if it is resting on ur collar bone.. it is not fitted right..

when fitted right.. it should be about 8th to a quarter of an inch above ur collar bone..

this is the reason for the breaks.. other then the fact that it is one of the weakest bones in the human body.

Zuki27,
I do not believe the brace had anything to do with the collarbone. My shoulder hit an embedded rock so hard it broke the top off the rock and embedded the piece into my shoulder pad.
The Fox Airframe fit perfect with the Omega. I'm 6'4" 255 so the adjustments on the chest protector are let out quite a bit. You might try doing that on your Zero7.
On the Omega, make sure you have at least 1/2 clearance from the strap on your shoulder to the base of the plastic when you adjust your straps and you'll want to adjust the feet inward so they hug you pretty tight. If it feels loose when you throw your head back, bring the feet inward on the back. It takes a bit of trial and error to find the perfect fit, I don't even notice mine anymore. I do get a little, very little, chaffing around my neck sometimes but It's no worse than the chaffing I get on my ass from my pants!

I just got the Omega, and I've tried to fit it with the Fox Airframe. No go.

yeah, no go with the airframe for me either, but I picked up an IDX1 and it works flawlessly now :-)

When you guys say no go on the airframe, where is the trouble?

The opening for the head is not large enough to fit around the Omega even with the front and back plates lowered as much as possible.

And if you try to put the brace on top of the airframe it won't sit right and wants to roll back. In the end I liked the IDX1 way more than the airframe anyway, so I'm glad it didn't fit actually.

I wanted to buy an Omega, but I had concerns about it fitting a chest protector, after reading these responses I may have to go with a leatt..
