Any suggestions on an adequate Cooling System Pressure Tester. Maybe there's one that is MC, (DRZ size), specific? One where you don't pay for all the adapters for cars and such? Thanks in advance, Joel H.

I'm not sure if this will help you or not but I think a Honda Civic cap is the same as our DRZ's cap but the Civic holds more pressure. Maybe you can get a tester for a Civic?

This info came from a FAQ or "How To" on this site but I can't seem to find it for you right now.

I test everything I can under vaccum first instead of pressure. It is always more difficult to maintain a vaccum seal and you won't push out a seal by over pressurizing. I use a H Freight hand vac pump.

Most any system that is designed to work on import cars will work on the DRZ.

That’s why you do not pressurize the system any more then normal operating pressure,, if it "pushes a seal out" at that pressure, you have found your at least one of your issues,, Fix it.

As for using a vacuum,,, Sure that will tell you have a leak,, but it's not going to help you pinpoint the leak.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I didn't even think about using a vac pump (which I have).
As of right now I'm just trying to determine if I have a leak. I can't find any sign of one, but I keep getting whiffs of antifreeze at stops.

Have you looked at the water pump weep hole or checked for a cracked expansion tank?

I have. No sign of leaks anywhere. Don't seem to be using fluid out of the res. ether. When I get time I'll put a vacuum on it and see if it holds.
