I will be bringing my bike down to Garner NC for week of thanksgiving and wondering where to ride. Am going to try Moto X Park East in Archers Lodge NC which is 20 miles from Garner.
Do any of you know anything about Uwharrie National Forest which is due south of Greensboro ? I googled and found some general info but if someone else has ridden there please let me know.
Any other non-posted riding areas near there ?

Thanks y'all !

Uwharrie is a great place to ride. I usually go up there a couple times a year on the dirt bike. I'd check on when the season closes for the park. Might be coming up pretty soon.

Do you have any pictures or could you provide a quick "ride report" ?

I'm torn - i can only bring one bike, there's a MX track 20 miles from where i'm staying, Uwaharre is over an hour away, weather may be a factor(too much rain = no MX track for me) so i don't know what to do.

Thanks !

I go to uwharrie all the time with my jeep. it's a blast, and i'm looking forward to getting up there with my drz. They close dec 13th. If you go, i would stay away from the trail named danial. It's pretty tough and full of steep rock faces....though enough for a jeep, and i don't think i've ever seen a bike make it up. Down, yeh, but i've only seen bikes flip over backwards attempting to go up.

I think i'm just gonna go to Moto-X East in Archers Lodge - just 10 miles east of Garner - where i'm staying. I could only bring one bike so i brought the CRF205R. I am interested in Uwharre and any areas near the mountains with single track - for next time when i bring the DRZ. Has anyone here been to Busco Beach or any other privately owned riding areas near here ?

Thanks !

a bunch of my friends with atv's down in wilmington say they love busco beach. Apparently it's huge and a ton of fun with tons of trails.
