Hi All,

There has been some interest in converting the S/SM head to a manual decompression release design, and I may be able to help out with that.

Eddie has graciously offered to loan me an E head to take measurements from, but what I'm looking for is an S or SM head to test a CNC program with. I'm looking for a head that is beyond repair, but has an OK head mating surface. (where the gasket goes) The valves can be busted out, the combustion chamber can be trashed, or the cam journals can be trashed... I don't care as long as I can cut the decomp hole without fear of messing up someone's usable head.

I will pay a reasonable price for it... but like I said... I'm looking for a head that is beyond repair. (so scrap price + shipping)

Thanks guys.

Wow... thanks... very unexpected.

I can ship it back... but it's going to have a decomp hole in it... and since it would be the first one... I can't guaranty that it will be in the right place. (that's why I was looking for scrap) But, the worst case scenario, all I would have to do is plug the hole.

PM me if you need a few $$$ for shipping. You have the address.

as long as you can make a interference fit plug if it happens not to be right, its fine.

i will try to get them sent in the am.

A plug isn't a prob. I can turn one out on the lathe, and press it in if the hole isn't right. (like I did on my FCR throttle shaft)
