sorry quick question I can't find the answer to. Does the DRZ ignition switch have a little flap (sprung-loaded usually) like most other bikes? Mine doesn't seem to have one, even when I look with a torch. So it's open all the time IYKWIM. The keys been getting a bit sticky lately so I wondered if a missing flap is part of the prob

cheers!

I know my US version has one, is yours stuck to one side? Maybe take a toothpick and pick at it to see if you can free it up?

go to your local auto store and get some dry graphite lube. just put a little right inside your ignition and it will lube it up so your key dont stick. dry graphite lube is the ONLY thing that you should ever use to lube your ignition by the way.

NO it doesn't have a flap

It needs one though, as every time you wash the bike aor leave it out in the rain, water gets into the ignition switch

Mine always used to play up big time after I washed it

Now I spray GT85 down it, after every wash which has stopped it mis-behaving
