Six weeks back I was driving home from a ride and was hit head on by a guy who had a seizure. My main injuries are to my feet.

The doctor told me not to take ibuprofen because it is not good for the healing of the bones. I am now 6 weeks out from the injury. My left foot still gets swollen if not elevated and hurts if I put all my weight on it. I am wondering if I should take iboprofen.

The following is a description of the injuries.

My right has at least been in a walking cast due to a tendon pulling some of the bone off. On the left I had fractures in the 2nd and 3rd metatarsals. They were not displaced at least. Additionally my left Calcaneus had a “crack”. It did not show up in the x-ray but did on the cat scan so I guess it was not too bad. No surgery was done.
