HI MARK
It has been about 6.5 weeks since my tib and fib were shattered into pieces on a hard landing..I am in a walking boot now but no weight bearing.
I have metal plate on each bone with screws holding the bone/bone grafts together.
My doc said at my last appt last week that in about 2 weeks or so which would be around Thanksgiving... he would probably start having me put weight on it.

Is this a normal time frame?? seems kinda soon since the base of my tib was in pieces. I am sorry i can;t post a pic. Are the plates able to hold these bones together even with full weight when they are not totally healed???
