I have a 2005 DRZ400e, headlight is OK, but I need a new shroud. I ordered one from the for sale forum here. The shroud I got has a much larger hole for the headlight. I think the shroud is from a SM, is the e headlight smaller? DO the e and s share the same headlight?

I either need a new yellow shroud or a headlight to fit the larger hole.

Thanks guys, TT rocks.

Now I know to look for a headlight that fit's a S or SM, or a new shroud for an E model.

E headlight is lightweight plastic, lower powered, smaller, and attaches to the shroud whereas the S/SM light is glass, higher powered, larger, heavier, and attaches to its own mount fastened to the fork behind the shroud. You would need a lot more than only the light to make things work.

E has a smaller light and uses a H6 globe,the S uses an H4 globe

I too have noticed my shroud and headlight dont match - the light on my S sits kinda low and behind the shroud (which the PO changed) so that light reflects back into my face at night. Need to get this fixed now that its my daily driver..:bonk:
