Ok. I have a 1976 Honda MR250 Elsinore. It was made dual-sport in the 70's, but doesn't have turn signals. Over the years, the brakelight switch has cracked and broken. Now, with a completely original elsinore (down to sprockets and levers) with less than 3,000 miles, I am having trouble deciding whether to rewire it and have the stator rewound to 12v and 130watts for $130 or to clean my connections and try to run a seperate circuit to a compact 6v+/- battery for brakelight and turn signals.

1.) What are the pros and cons? :banghead:
2.) How do I do it? :worthy:

I am pretty much stupid when it comes to electrical circuits except that I know how to make sure the spark plug has spark  . So as much as this is an advanced discussion, let's keep it idiot proof. ()

It sounds like $130 bucks will do just that
