working on ktm 520 replacing the crank it has a gear on it that looks to be pressed on some how dont know how to get it off any suggestions?

i see u have to shim the crank unlike any of the jap bikes do u know what the spec would be for that?? i am guessing it is for the side to side play between the crank and bearings. also do you have to press the gear and bearing inner races onto the crank?? this ktm has been much different fm the jap bikes that i am used to and im not sure if i am a fan of working on this motor rite now..
