After puting a MT43 trials tire on the back of my dualsport I was blown away at how well it worked. I have always been a skeptic of the trials tires off road and thought they were a fad until now. Now I wonder how well they would work up front. I due notice that the rear rear now out grips the front, but have adjusted to it. If the front works as well as the rear, I'm sold. I notice all the guys I see using trials tires in the rear always use a knobbie up front. I question them and they say they have never heard of anyone using a front trials tire, but not sure if they would work well or not. Anyone with feedback on this I would like to hear it......RG

IMO a trials tire in front might not grip as well as the rear because it was designed to run against a flat surface not much bite laid over in a corner. Just my thoughts having owned a couple of trials bikes.

have no experience with a front trials tire but run one in the rear. Have read numerous places the front trials tire does not work well at all. too much flex for one makes for some sketchy cornering.

I've run Michelin X-11 trials tires on my 400exc that I ride in rocky areas. It works well for this, not so good in muddy areas or if you're laying the bike over pretty hard.
