I hope it is ok to ask here about this.
Just ran into a nice deal on 08 Aprilia RXV with next to no miles, for about $4500, it would be such shame not to try it for that much. My current bike is 07 KLX300r, so I am looking for something unique and more fun, compared to my green blah. My general use is light and medium difficulty trails, with no on-road use at all.
What do you think?

In a word run away, they are not a bush weapon, and have real reliability issues.
The engines when on song are very strong but it does not translate into a good tractionable trail bike. The Aprillia does make a great super motard however.
Any 09 husky, kato, Yammy on run out will be a much better proposition
